Hello Urban Athletic Club Members!
We are thrilled to bring you this week’s fitness programming that promises an incredible blend of workouts tailored to challenge and invigorate you. It’s the twilight phase of our training, positioned uniquely between our May and June training blocks, which gives us a brilliant opportunity to revisit and add in a couple of assessments we haven’t focused on in a while. Get ready to test your limits and boost your fitness levels!
Let’s break down what’s coming up this week:
Monday, May 29 – Memorial Day Special: Murph
Kick start the week with the traditional Murph workout. A fitting way to honor and remember our servicemen and women, this workout challenges you both physically and mentally.
Tuesday, May 30 – All-Inclusive
This ‘For Time’ challenge includes a blend of cardio and strength. With rowing, double-unders, abmat situps, wallballs, strict pull-ups, strict HSPUs, and an 800m run, this workout is truly all-inclusive.
Wednesday, May 31 – Deadlift Day
This day is all about strength! We’ll be doing an EMOM x 12 alternating between 3 deadlifts and 4-6 strict knees to elbow. Plus, we’ll test our Upper/Lower Endurance or complete “E-85”: 3 rounds for effort, with deadlifts and a max effort 45 sec air bike.
Thursday, June 1 – Rally Car
Get ready for 8 rounds of ring rows, burpee box jumps, and back squats. This workout will test your stamina and strength, keep pushing!
Friday, June 2 – Strict Press and Serpentine
Start with an upper body push assessment or strict press, followed by a spicy WOD named “Serpentine”. This 12-minute WOD includes single arm Russian kettlebell swings, KB push press, and a front rack carry.
Saturday, June 3 – Power Clean and Dog Bed
We wrap up the week with “Bring a Friend Day”. The workout starts with building to a heavy 1 Hang Power Clean +1 Power Clean, followed by a ‘For Time’ WOD “Dog Bed” comprising power cleans, toes to bar, and a 200m run.
Remember, we cater to all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced, offering 7 scalable levels to fit your needs. Each of you has unique strengths, and we are here to help you grow in your own fitness journey.
