The Weightlifting Workshop at Urban Athletic Club is a specialized seminar series designed for individuals aiming to enhance their Olympic lifting techniques.
This workshop begins with two two-hour Intro sessions:
- Session 1 focuses on the Clean & Jerk
- Session 2 on the Snatch
Participants will receive expert coaching from Coach El, a structured training plan, and the opportunity to join the Barbell Weekly Class for continuous development. It’s an ideal program for UAC members and local residents seeking to boost their weightlifting proficiency in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Session #1 (Clean & Jerk) is Saturday, January 20 from 10:30 to 12:30.
Session #2 (Snatch) is Saturday, January 27 from 10:30 to 12:30.

Continuing Classes
For those who wish to continue learning and practicing, the seminar will continue for 6 more weeks., meeting on Saturdays from 10:30 to 12:00. Sessions will focus on progressive skills and drills to improve your weightlifting as well as strength-training associated with improving your lifts (Front Squat, Back Squat, Deadlift, Press) based on each athletes’ Level Method Assessments.
Coach El will set aside time for goal setting and test guidelines to track your progress.
