As we head into November, Urban Athletic Club is shifting from two solid months of barbell-focused training to mastery of bodyweight exercises. In September, we emphasized Weightlifting, and October brought a focus on Powerlifting. Now, it’s time to put our strength into practice with Gymnastics.

  • Assessment Week (Nov 25-30): Neurological & Core, Upper Body Pull, and Rings

This month’s energy system moves from October’s Ventilation, which prioritized cardio-respiratory conditioning, to a “Plumbing” focus. This shift means a deeper emphasis on muscle endurance and sustained strength work, laying a solid foundation for bodyweight exercises like pull-ups, ring work, and inversions. With a month-long progression on pull-ups, you’ll see drills for grip, scapular stability, and holds to build upper-body pulling power.

Weekly Breakdown:

  • Building Grip and Body Control: Each session will focus on developing grip strength and body control, evolving your pull-up capacity and upper body strength throughout the month.
  • Creative Community Workouts: November’s “Fun” workouts are handpicked from Level Method Legion’s vast network of 200+ gyms worldwide. Expect fresh workouts each week, blending different styles and challenges from coaches globally.
  • Strength in Consistency: With Thanksgiving around the corner, we know the challenge of maintaining a routine. Prioritize your workout schedule and keep up with sleep and recovery. Consistency is crucial for staying on track with your fitness progress through the holiday season.
