July Training Results
From Assessments in Deadlifts and Lactic Tolerance, to overall Level-ups and Personal Records, July proved to be a successful training endeavor!
Assessment Highlights
This month, we focused on the Deadlift and Lactic Tolerance assessments. We are thrilled to announce that 16 members leveled up in their Deadlift, with a special shoutout to Anthony Francis for moving up to the elite Red level. Kudos to Will, Elizabeth, Alex, Crispin, Gaurav, Seyitcan, Ellie, Olga, Michael, and Vaughn, who all increased a color in their Deadlift.
For the Lactic Tolerance assessment, 12 members achieved level ups, with each athlete jumping an entire color. This is a remarkable achievement, and we’re proud of everyone who pushed their limits.
Overall Level-Ups and Personal Records
In addition to the individual assessment achievements, four members—Seyitcan, Rachel, Will, and Coach Vaughn—leveled up overall. Your commitment to continuous improvement is truly inspiring.
July was also a record-setting month with an astounding 230 personal records (PRs) across various exercises:
- 8 PRs in Power Snatch
- 13 PRs in Cleans
- 28 PRs in Floor Press
- 73 PRs in Deadlift
- 15 PRs in Back Squat
These numbers reflect the hard work and consistency of our members. Whether you hit a new PR or encouraged a fellow athlete, every effort contributes to our vibrant and supportive community.
Community Engagement and Programming Balance
Our community engagement was off the charts this month, with 1,091 digital high-fives exchanged in our Chalk It Pro app. This level of support and camaraderie is what makes UAC such a special place to train.
The July programming was carefully balanced, ensuring a comprehensive approach to fitness:
- Gymnastics Movements: 58 (e.g., Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, Step-Ups, Ring Rows, Handstands, Wall Walks)
- Weightlifting Movements: 78 (e.g., Back Squats, Bench Presses, Floor Presses, Front Squats, Lunges, Push Presses, Kettlebell Swings, Cleans)
- Conditioning Movements: 61 (e.g., Rowing, Jump Rope, Burpees, Box Jumps)
This balance between Gymnastics, Weightlifting, and Conditioning ensures that our athletes are not just focusing on one area but developing all aspects of fitness. Our programming isn’t random; it’s thoughtfully progressive, with each week and day designed to challenge you while helping you grow stronger.
A Wide Variety of Scoring
We also offer a diverse range of scoring types to track your progress:
- Load: How much weight you lifted (e.g., Deadlift PRs)
- Time: How long it took you to complete a workout
- Rounds: Number of rounds completed in a set time
- Reps: Total repetitions completed
- Freeform and Leveling Up: Tracking personal achievements and overall fitness growth
This variety keeps our programming dynamic and ensures that every workout offers something new and challenging.
